What is the difference between Iascylla's and Azir, Sovereign's uses of "this battlefield"?
Iascylla's delayed trigger refers to the battlefield she held — information implicit in her trigger condition, checked when the ability triggers. Azir, Sovereign's attack trigger doesn't reference information from its trigger condition, so "this battlefield" is checked when the ability resolves: if he isn't at a battlefield then, instructions about that battlefield are ignored. Future sets use more precise templating for abilities like Iascylla's.
If Akali, Deadly Weapon is removed in reaction to her move trigger, does the trigger still deal damage?
It does. Like Iascylla, Akali's ability refers to information implicit in its own trigger condition — "the battlefield I moved to or from" was checked when the ability triggered and doesn't require her to still be on the board on resolution.
